Penny Arcade Expo has brought their show back for a 3rd year in PAX South 2017, a 3-day convention highlighting many aspects under the focus of gaming from casual players to the most hardcore on a multitude of platforms. I’ve been looking forward PAX South for quite a long time as right now it ranks among my most favorite in San Antonio’s conventions, but this time instead of making this a casual adventure, I attended with a purpose, and that is to learn as much about streaming and broadcasting as possible.
Sephi Hakubi’s weekly episode EDM radio show, Weekly Rave Smash, was picked up for two more radio syndication deals: TheParty.FM and KXRG 95.9FM (My959) will be joining ToukuFM as the official stations to broadcast Weekly Rave Smash. Tune in to My959 this Saturday, September 3rd, at 8AM Hawaii Time for the KXRG 95.9FM radio debut of Weekly Rave Smash.
When you see that I haven’t written anything in a while, you know I have a lot going on right now that I cannot blog on the regular; however, when a one-off post happens to be posted all of a sudden, it could mean one of two things: I’m done with what is keeping me busy (not the case), or something significantly huge took place; in this case, it’s the later, and it’s not good at all…I found out through the social media grapevines that my second home that I call The Falls, is no more. I only received very few details of the circumstances, but I can only confirm based on Nuzzi Network and Falls Manager Matt Fanuzzi’s statement that one of San Antonio’s Best Nightclubs has closed its doors due to a “leasing dispute”.
Weekly Rave Smash, one hour of my best picks of AnimEDM, Trance, Progressive House, Electro House, Hardcore, J-core, anything sweet, sexy, and dancible, inspired by my experiences in anime, manga and EDM, I will take the world on a unique journey and broaden the horizons of Electronic Dance Music every week. The show will premiere Thursday, January 7th, 2016 at 6PM Central Standard Time (as most of my friends and I live in Texas) and playing worldwide simultaneously online at ToukuFM.com.
I don’t normally discuss issues officially on my blog but I figure I would point out something that’s been a concern in our society for a long time. During my martial arts studies, my teachers have instilled a focus on courtesy and respect, core values that I have lived my entire life and exemplify with anyone and everyone I am around. Unfortunately not everyone understands nor practices these core values and I am strong enough to dismiss those that do not practice respect; however, when a significant lack of respect and abuse of privilege negatively impacts on honest hard-working people, that’s when I have to take a stand and set the record straight. On this entry, I want to talk about an unfortunate event of injustice that took place with one of my friends and colleagues in the anime and performance industry and hope that this post can bring an appropriate impression on why we continue to allow disrespect in hopes to stop it.
